AFIC’s response to Blacktown Council regarding an offensive celebration

Recently members of the Australian Muslim community started a petition to air concerns about a certain celebration in the Blacktown LGA that caused hurt to Muslims. AFIC wrote to Blacktown Council and received an apology for the event and an assurance that Blacktown will be open to all. The letter from Councillor Dr. Moninder Singh is below.
