The situation in Silawesi, Indonesia, is a worsening tragedy with the number of deaths now reported to be nearing 1,000 with countless wounded and missing.
The needs of the local population are great in this time of tribulation. As Muslims it is our duty to help those in need. As the Prophet, Peace and Blessings be upon him, said “Whoever helps his brother in his time of need, Allah will be there in his time of need” (Sahih Muslim).
Accordingy, Muslims Australia – AFIC is encouraging all Mosques, Musallah’s and Centres to dedicate this coming Friday’s Khutbah to the situation in Indonesia and for as many people as possible to donate at the Jumma’ Salah to this worthy cause.
