Muslims Australia – AFIC condemns in the strongest terms the actions of Israel in its continued killing of Palestinians. The move by Israel to make East Jerusalem its Capital and then by the United States to move its Embassy is clearly meant to provoke the Palestinians and damage any hope of peace in Palestine.

Muslims Australia – AFIC urges all nations who are serious about peace to protest these moves and make their opposition known to Israel and the United States.

The Palestinian people have a right to protest their continued occupation and disenfranchisement. It is clear that Israel is taking any opportunity to use lethal force against Palestinian civilians. The Global community must condemn their approach and actions in the strongest possible terms. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured in the last month. These actions would not be accepted in any other circumstances and yet the world continues to turn a blind eye to the crimes of Israel and the plight of the Palestinians.

President of Muslim Australia – AFIC, Dr Rateb Jneid, stated, “We will continue to speak out against the crimes of Israel and highlight the hypocrisy of the world when it comes to issues of human rights and democracy. Israel is an occupying force that is indiscriminately killing people who are simply protesting their right to their own land.”

If the saying that evil flourishes when good people remain silent is true then we will continue to raise our voice in support of the Palestinians even if all others are silent.
We call on people and nations of good-will across the world to equally stand up for what is right and raise their voices against this atrocity.
